Family Guy je kontroverzný a satirický animovaný seriál, ktorý si berie za cieľ politikov, známych hercov, vládne organizácie aj samotnú ľudskú povahu, pričom sa nevyhýba žiadnym výrazovým prostriedkom. Stredom príbehu je Rhode-Islandská rodina Griffinovcov, na prvý pohľad ako každá iná. "Hlavou" rodiny je Peter Griffin, tlstý, sebecký, retardovaný, napriek tomu veľmi vtipný. Jeho manželka Lois udržuje domácnosť v chode, pôvodom z bohatej rodiny avšak skromná a ohľaduplná. Spoločne majú 16 ročnú dcéru Meg, ktorá nech sa snaží ako chce, stále patrí medzi najmenej obľúbených študentov v škole. Chris má 13 let, neobvykle tlstý a hlúpy, obe vlastnosti má zrejme po otcovi. Najmladší Stewie je jednou z najvýraznejších postáv. Len si zoberte koľko detí už vo svojom prvom roku hovorí a plánuje nadvládu nad svetom...
