Návrat sovietskej invázie zo sveta Command & Conquer za úplne novú stranu, ktorej sa zhostili nebezpeční Japonci. Zem vychádzajúceho slnka bola v druhej svetovej vojne síce porazená, tu je tomu avšak inak. Technologický pokrok, hospodársky rozvoj a neuveriteľná pracovitosť jeho ľudu, to všetko z neho urobilo obávaného hráča na svetovej scéne. Za Japoncov bude na bojovom poli hovoriť na prvý pohľad obyčajná, tradičná technika, skrývajúca pod zašpineným zovňajškom tie najnovšie technológie. Sovieti sú na tom podobne, za nich budú bojovať napríklad kyber-medvede, a to ako v klasickej pozemnej forme, tak vo verzii výsadkára. Tým to ale nekončí, dočkáte sa i finálnej verzie stealth režimu a tiež možnosti ohýbať priestor, teda presúvať sa v ňom. Aby bolo všetko vyrovnané, spojenecké vojská ovládnu prevažne vzduch, takže i oni budú mať nejaký ten bonus k dobru. Hlavný dôraz je tentoraz kladený na kooperatívne hranie, takže i v singleplayerovej kampani bude miesto pre dvoch, čo sľubuje zaujímavý zážitok. Z pevnej pôdy sa navyše boje presunú i na/pod hladinu oceánov, kde budeme dokonca môcť stavať i základne.
